This initiative proudly honours the enduring legacy of the late Tan Sri Dato' Lee Shin Cheng, upholding his deeply held belief that education is the most powerful catalyst for breaking the cycle of poverty.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Must be a Malaysian citizen.
  • Age: Must be between 17 and 25 years old.
  • Academic Level: Open to Malaysian Form 5 (SPM or equivalent) and Form 6 (STPM or equivalent) school leavers, as well as students currently enrolled in a Diploma or Degree programme.
  • Inclusivity: Individuals with physical disabilities or OKU status are fully eligible to apply.
  • Level of Study: Restricted to full-time Undergraduate (1st degree) or Diploma programmes.
  • Location: The course must be conducted at a recognised public or private college or university within Malaysia (overseas studies are not supported).
  • Basis of Selection: Candidates are selected based on financial need, academic performance, family background, personal merit, and leadership qualities.
  • Academic Maintenance: To maintain eligibility during the scholarship, recipients must demonstrate good performance by maintaining a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or higher. This may be subject to further changes in the future.
